Spokane Air Quality

Air Quality Problems?

We all want the air we breath to be clean, but some people have more sensitivity to bad air than others. If your are one of those, and you are having breathing or health problems in your own home due to excess dust, smoke, or allergens, we may be able to help.

We will look into things like inspecting your air filters, proper ventilation, and offer you our recommendations and help you be healthy in your own home!

How HVAC1 can help with Air Quality?

Inadequate heating, cooling or ventilation maintenance can often be the source of poor air quality. The air that you breathe inside is being filtered through an HVAC system, which brings in air from outside. If that filtration isn’t working properly or hasn’t been properly maintained, then you could be breathing in pollutants, bacteria, smoke and dust. Proper HVAC maintenance helps everyone breathe easier, reduces allergens and irritants, removes odors, and creates a cleaner, healthier environment.

You may have a hard time breathing, get headaches, feel extra tires, have difficulties concentrating, feel eye, nose throat, and lung irritation or even have skin rashes. If you are experiencing these symptoms, there is a chance that proper HVAC maintenance could help. Give us a call to find out.

Hopefully, if you are changing your filter regularly.

You should be changing your filter around every 3 months. This will vary depending on the size and type of filter you have. We recommend switching to charcoal filters which eliminate home odors, neutralize allergies, and dissolve and eliminate smoke during fire season.

Often times, yes! Newer systems today often come with more efficient filtration systems that better clean the air, control humidity, and manage odors. It may be worth it to look into a new heat pump or air conditioner to see if a better filtration system could benefit your health. HVAC 1 can explain your options and help you decide.
